Introduction
Located between the Tuileries and the Opera, this gorgeous square sits in the middle of Paris' most expensive neighbourhood and is home to the Hôtel Ritz.
The Vendôme Column was modelled after Trajan's Column in Rome and erected by Napoleon using the bronze of cannons taken from the combined armies of Europe after his victory at Austerlitz in 1805.
