Introduction
Created during the Second French Empire by Baron Haussmann, this 2.5 km long boulevard was designed by relaxation and shopping. It is home to two of Paris' top department stores, the Galeries Lafayette and Au Printemps, as well as to the sumptuous Musée Jacquemart-André.
The bank Société Générale and Dassault Média (owner of Le Figaro newspaper) have their headquarters here.
