Ok, let's compare the crowded images. Why did you only choosed the most outlier ones of both teams instead of looking at the group pictures or the crowded images from both countries?

An average Iranian is Mehdi Taremi, and he does not remotely look like a southern European.
Do you really mean between Middle-Eastern looking Taremi and fully European-looking Acerbi, Di Marco, Barella and Bastoni? Okay bro... Now I know for sure you are not being seriousTaremi was born in Bushehr, the most southern city in Iran, but what is the difference between him and Italian players in Inter Milan? https://cms-sportsdunia-prod.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/content-image/football-prediction/inter milan.jpeg
Do you see any difference?! Those are certainly Iranians but the main point is that a large number of Italians have also Iranian ancestry and there is not a big diiference between the majority of Iranians and Italians. A minority of blonde, blue eyed people in Italy and Iran can't change this fact.Iranians look like what they are, Middle Easterners. An Iranian who is ashamed of this is a self-hater.

So why Italian websites talk about similarities between Itanians and Iranians in phenotype? For example about Iranian player Sardar Azmoun and Italian actor Ricky Memphis:
So what? The dude below is from my region in Italy. He's not the average look of course, but good luck to find some 100% Ethnic Iranian like him..
Beside, that Iranian player's would be more at home in say Georgia or Ossetia than Europe and the differences between Italians and Iranians in phenotype are abyssal, despite Italians are for the majority brunette .
The resemblance between these two is more apparent than real and based on the hair style. So why Italian websites talk about similarities between Itanians and Iranians in phenotype? For example about Iranian player Sardar Azmoun and Italian actor Ricky Memphis:

This thread is about Proto-Indo-Europeans who had dark hair, brown eyes, and an intermediate skin tone and their CHG ancestry, I just said that other than Iran and some other Asian countries, this ancestry also exists in Greece and Italy in the south of Europe but it seems some people didn't like to believe these things, whether about phenotype/ancestry of Proto-Indo-Europeans or about the common genetic origin of some Iranians and Italians.Woman is Italian, man is likely Iranian (but could also be Turkish).
The fact that there are some Italians who can pass for Iranian and vice versa means nothing. It certainly does not prove that they are the same people. This is untenable on a genetic level, cultural level and everything else. Then if you like to think you are Italian and that Iran and Italy are the same thing, good luck. I guess you don't know Italians very well.
Since this conversation has really become an Apricity thread as Vallicanus says, could we please get back on topic?
