Saltarello Marchigiano This was a court dance first attested in 15th century Tuscany, but it spread to other countries. It's happy music. Btw, the male dancer is a member of the band, and the woman is someone from the audience, I believe. They're both really good.

The French court dance the "gigue", became the Irish "jig" and the Italian giga.

Thanks to Simone for the "Giga Emiliana" played on the piva, which I find less objectionable than the similar bagpipes, and much preferable to the piffero, which is supposedly in the oboe family but is much, much sharper. :)
