Mind you, William the Conqueror, the Norman duke who conquered England, was originally called William the Bastard as he was the son of a tanner's daughter from Falaise, Arlette or Herleva.
The video claims that Turi King, who tested Richard III's DNA in 2014, obtained a DNA sample from John of Gaunt from Westminster Abbey and confirmed that it was Richard III's father Richard of York who was not the son of his presumed father Richard of Conisburgh, 3rd Earl of Cambridge. In other words the whole House of York during the War of the Roses was illegitimate.
However I could not find this new 2025 study. I asked Gemini about the claims made in the video and it said :
"No Published Study on John of Gaunt's DNA: There is no credible, published scientific paper or public announcement from the University of Leicester, Harvard, or the Max Planck Institute that confirms the analysis of Y-DNA from the remains of John of Gaunt to resolve the Richard III mystery."
