1.Hong Kong began shutting down public facilities when there were fewer than 10 confirmed cases. The government acted with urgency as soon as the first cases began to appear. Hong Kong shut down all schools,parks, and public museums on January 29th when there were just 9 confirmed cases and zero deaths.

4.Hong Kong tests all people entering the country and requires them to home quarantine for 14 days. Hong Kong only recently implemented severe travel bans, denying entry to non-residents on March 25. There was, however, a 14-day required home quarantine for people arriving from Mainland China, which was then expanded to arrivals from nearly anywhere in the world. While a delay in requiring home quarantine for European and American visitors [/COLOR]led to a second wave of cases, that surge has already begun to flatten. People in home-quarantine wear electronic bracelets that track location.

Believe me, I don't like the sound of all of this either, but if we want to re-open the economy before there's a vaccine for everyone, I think these should be considered by the people on the task forces.

These measures, although draconian are necessary to stop the spread of the virus. I would add that isolating the old and infirm is also required. But these measures would have never been taken by this wishy washy administration. But these are measures that have to be taken when the number of cases are small. They cannot be taken when hundreds of thousands have been infected.

I saw somewhere that there is a testing lull due to the very tight CDC guidelines on who should get tested. They need to expand them so that people that might have been exposed can get tested.

known cases for example are all patients1-50 in Greece and many more others,
they came from abroad, all in Quarantine and test,
and their families also,
So you 'hunt' the virus spread and stop him,

Orphans cases are those who are not connected with other infected people, and you can not trace them back to source of infection,
These are the bad ones, if they reach high %, you can not control the infection spread and will go high.

This study says the H3 haplotype was carried by patient zero from Wuhan and it is the only one sample of this haplotype. All samples from the seafood market belonged to H1 and others (H2, H8-12). The Wuhan Institute of Virology denied that patient zero was one of their employees. We need to look into the real identify of patient zero who carried the original strain of the coronavirus. He could be associated with the trade of exotic animals, who may have contacted other traders at the market, or a lab technician from the famous lab which carried out animal experiments on SARS. Either way, he must have lived in an environment in which he was close to bats or other mammals that are known to transmit the bat virus to humans. Well, I was just pointing out that, in fact, the lead might go to a lab, which was researching dangerous bat viruses, rather than a wet market where wild animals were sold for consumption.
But in general, as a vegetarian for about 15 years, I agree, all wet-markets with wild meat sales should be banned. I would also agree banning sales of all meat products, inasmuch as any contact between human and animal has a potential for creating a novel virus. In general, humanity would be better off in terms of health, climate, and more human

) without eating meat.
Of course, I understand this cannot happen now, as majority of people like meat... But on a whole, I am with you about banning wet markets.

Also, the Lab was supposed to be operating at Safety Level 4, but was only operating at Safety Level 2. There are cables and e-mails from U.S. scientists in December raising the issue.

Most importantly, the Chinese Communist Government initially closed the Wet Markets. If they know the virus started there, why open them again? Why impose another level of censorship on papers from Chinese scientists about it?

Why did they punish the first doctors who raised the alarms? Why make scientists destroy research on the first cases?

I'm no conspiracy theorist, but this smells...

In addition, it's now been revealed that while they were telling their puppy dog at the head of the WHO that there was no human to human transmission, they were going around the world buying up supplies of PPE, including 2 million masks in one three week period alone.

Now, they're conducting "area" or "small" Nukes; you know, the kind you could lob at another country that wouldn't poison your own atmosphere.

What the hell do people have to see before accepting they are bad actors on the world stage.

According to this paper, infectiousness peaks on or Before BEFORE any symptoms appear; 44% of secondary infections were incurred before the onset of symptoms.

Beautiful late autumn afternoon now in the neighborhood where I live, in Belo Hiorizonte. A few minutes ago all the residents of the neighborhood went to their windows in a big protest against the dismissing of the Minister of Health, an ardent defender of horizontal isolation, substitutedby another Minister, defender of vertical isolation. The mayor of Belo Horizonte threatens to arrest those walking on the streets and has established sanitary barriers on the access roads to the city. Vehicles from other cities, including buses, coming from locations where city administrations are not adopting horizontal isolation, are being banned from entering the city. Our mayor is right. We have the support of the Federal Supreme Court to do this. Bolsonaro and his new Minister of Health cannot do anything against us. Perhaps this beautiful evening is an indication that God is with us. So be it. Now is the time for Angelus. People are singing Ave Maria in their windows.
