My grandmothers both had fairly unusual lines, J2a1a1 and X2c1 which has an almost unique link to people from the Far East via two SNP's. I would love to find two other great grandmothers haplogroups but I suspect one my be MtDNA 'I' simply down to how many sample matches I get on MyTrueAncestry that are MtDNA I. My known 3 male great grandparents haplogroups feature a lot in these archaic samples. I just got notification of two more and I am in the top ten closest to those matches, one male one female. One is I2 found in Kent strangely closest population match is Pict and the other is I5a2+16086 found in Cambridgeshire is closest to British Beaker. I have no known links to these areas I am North West England but most of my Copper and Bronze Age archaic matches seem to be more South and East England and Orkney. Does everyone on here get linked to plenty of MtDNA I matches or don't you know? Understandable if you haven't uploaded to a website that compares you to archaic samples. If there are any North Western MtDNA I's in the Greater Manchester area and Coastal Lancashire where those two great grandmother lines trace back to hundreds of years ago, I would love to hear from you.
