Ben Carson, the African-American neurosurgeon and Trump-supporter, belongs to haplogroup R1a, according to the book "Finding Your Roots." I mention this because I don't see his name on the famous people-section of the R1a-page yet - I don't know if I'm saying something new or if Carson is not considered famous enough. Anyhow, I think this is interesting in regard to our discussion about the influence of Y-haplogroups on looks and personality. I think Carson has very Caucasian looks. And being a soft-spoken and well-respected member of the bourgeoisie, he is the opposite of the stereotypical black guy.
