Folklore Balkan folk rhythms

This is from the area I come from.
Here you can see the ritual part of this pre-Christian tradition inherited from ancestral times. The purification of the evil and the curses of the fairies.
The dance takes place in the week before the Rusalii.

Rusalii (Русалии) ; German , Scaloian (Герман ; Скалоян), Peperuda Пеперуда (Dodola), Calushari (Калушари) exist in Bulgaria too...and in the neighboring Orthodox Slavic countries of course.
 
"Paparudele" is an ancient ritual that has the role of bringing rain.
Paparuda is an old divinity from the Romanian mythology, probably pre-Roman, of the fertile rain, which is invoked by groups of women and girls during the drought part of the year.

I found this Bulgarian variant that is slightly different from the Romanian "Călușul", but the ritual is meaningful without the need for explanations.
