another model of mine . i use this model very often . the components dont eat up each other much and the model doesnt give an overfit while being accurate at the same time . try it

vahaduo : https://vahaduo.github.io/vahaduo/

the model : https://justpaste.it/ilmae

how does the model change when you replace the anatolian sample from Bursa, with older anatolian neolithic samples?

use Boncuklu, it's i believe the only early neolithic anatolian population in the G25 spreadsheet. they are from central anatolia.

boncuklu is from far west modern turkey if i am not wrong . and it eats up EHG . and it also eats up zagros for some people

the Boncuklu site is near Konya. i would say it's central turkey, or perhaps eastern western turkey?

there are also the Turkey_AsikliHoyuk_EN_Preceramic samples from a bit more east near Aksaray as i found out now, you can use them instead, although i don't think it will change the model a lot, since they are very similar to Boncuklu.

hard to say what ate up what in your models. Barcin also ate up ancestries like the Natufian. if you really want to use a later neolithic population and you don't care so much about neolithic admixture events, try Tepecik Ciftlik which is contemporary to Barcin, but more southeast. this might give you a better fit.

tepecik ciftlik has zagros and natufian in it

but i have made a new model in the last couple days after our conversation . i have used a barcin neolithic individual that has the least arabian hunter gatherer / natufian and the least zagros when you use pinarbasi

this model will show most of the hidden zagros and will not eat up much of EHG either

this is the result of the mother of a member here who made a thread lately . she is from emilia romagna . look at the zagros :

Target: mother_of_member_fedro_emiliaromagna
Distance: 3.4058% / 0.03405810
59.4 Northwest_Anatolia_Barcin_Neolithic
23.8 East_European_Hunter_Gatherer
15.2 Zagros_Neolithic
1.6 WHG

one more proof that zagros neolithic is not a very dark / exotic component . many people are darkwashing it
