Like America, multicultural and multiethnic community.

Like America, multicultural and multiethnic community.
We are not multiethnic, Spain (nor Europe) are not like America, we are here the indigenous people, it's our own land.

We are not multiethnic, Spain (nor Europe) are not like America, we are here the indigenous people, it's our own land.

It's very bad when the ethnic people of a country know how to control their birthrates to save the planet and its resources and others just breed like irresponsible rabbits

This is going to have extreme consequences 50 or 100 years down the line. The people pushing for this trend across Europe are either very naive or very malevolent, i like to think it's the former, and that they are misguided out of good will rather than bad will. Naive and short-sighted.

One thing to keep in mind is that those numbers only take to account nationality not place of birth of the parents. Given that Spain nationality laws allows for Latin Americans, and other individuals to become citizens after 2 years of legal permanent residence, the children of people who are naturalized as citizens would be counted as having Spanish parents. So the real numbers might be even worse. It is amazing that the number of children born to foreign parents tripled in the last ten years in many places in Spain. I don’t live in Spain, so I can’t really say anything about it, but doesn’t the government offer some sort of support to the newborns if the parents are unemployed, that is, if these children born to foreign parents who are unemployed would end up costing the government money. I believe that it is time to bring those problems under control. That is, if someone who isn’t a native wants to have more than say 1-2 kids, then not only should the government not pay them, but they ought to pay some sort of tax for it, if they won’t undergo birth control, perhaps it ought to be enforced to them. In places like the Basque Country immigrants only represent 7-8% of the population, yet children born to foreign parents are ~20% of the population.

We are not multiethnic, Spain (nor Europe) are not like America, we are here the indigenous people, it's our own land.
What is your cut off time for being indigenous, 500 years, 2,000 or 10,000?
And what is your percentile for indigenous, 50%, 75%, 99%?

It would be interesting what you make out of Crimea ownership? What population you would consider indigenous and land belonging to them?

What is bad about this? Immigrants have a much better life in European countries than the ones they originate from. They contribute to the economy, and to society. Many immigrants take jobs that natives just won't take. Many of these jobs help drive the economies of nations. Immigrants increase the population of European countries, and thus pay taxes; improving the economy of the state. They also buy a lot of goods, and use many different services; thus good for business, and encouraging economic growth.

Immigrants also bring their own, unique culture, unique food, and (depending on whether they are not from Spanish-speaking nation) their unique language. These elements help to bring new experiences to the natives.

Immigrants usually become integrated into the society of their new nation, and become an integral part of it. Spain, like Europe, Canada, and The Commonwealth Nations are a mosaic, a mosaic of different cultures. Some cultures are native, and some are foreign; but these are all parts of the "mosaic".

Spain and Europe are multiethnic! Ever heard of all of the different ethnic groups of Spain, the Basques, the Castillians, Catalans, Galicians, Sephardic Jews, and more. Also, many of the immigrants to Spain are of Spanish descent (from Latin American countries), or their country was formerly Spanish (Morocco, Equatorial Guinea, The Philippines, etc).

Europe is also multiethnic, I can think of thousands of different ethnicities in Europe off the top of my head, from the English, to the Germans, the Finnish, The Greeks, The Estonians, The French, The Italians, The Scottish, The Swiss, the list goes on and on. Your statement is ridiculous!

Are you afraid of other cultures? Afraid of other religions? Or afraid of other peoples?

What do you suggest Spain do? Leave The EU, not allow in "foreigners", and close it's borders? Spain would collapse, and turn into anarchy if that occurred! Do you recommend that Spain only allow a small number of foreigners in? Like Japan does? Well, probably within a hundred years or two, the Japanese will be extinct as a people; leaving their nation as an in populated wasteland. Is this what you would like to happen to Spain? Sure, Spain has a higher birthrate than Japan, but it will be below replacement level within a few decades without the immigrants. Immigrants help to keep your country in existence, and to keep it functioning. You say "We are not multiethnic, Spain (nor Europe) are not like America, we are here the indigenous people, it's our own land.", The Basques aren't even an Indo-European group! You need to learn more about your own country!

I think that perhaps you meant "multiracial". Ethnicity does not necessarily revolve around race but rather around language/culture:

Spain until relatively recently had never been multiracial since all of its native inhabitants have been Caucasoid/Caucasian, but it certainly was multiethnic since remote times. Iberians, Basques and Celts were different ethnic groups. Then later on came Greek, Phoenician/Carthaginian, Roman, Germanic, Jewish, Arab and Berber minorities, all of them different ethnicities as well.

Oh come on, Don't come up with all this liberal crap. I want Spain (or Catalonia) only for natives, it's our land and we have the right to preserve our ethnicity and culture, and keep immigration at minimal (only if necessary..at our own demand... if they add something that we cannot find in our own country, otherwise natives have a priority).

Today with genetics is very easy to determine if someone is indigenous or not. Spaniards are a quite genetic homogeneus bunch, just look at any PCA plot on autosomal DNA, spaniards are all in one cluster. You have to combine that also with the admixture runs.

Hm, but it felt nice before to kill Indians of America and create Mexicans and other nations and, worse yet, exploit their resources and exterminate them since they were a lower race by European standards. Have you ever botherd to ask them how do they feel about that? European nations are no angels and have changed the map of the genes all around the world and now you are weeping about natality of some minorities! Talking about extreme double standards...when ego wants to play the role of the victim...the hipocrisy:sad-2:....

Every nation is like a SHIP, only a certain number will work...too many and the ship will sink.

Some nations "encourage" some of its citizens to leave as they cannot keep their nation "afloat".

I remember 3 years ago, scholars stating 55M is the optimum number of people for Italy...it now has 61M ..............we will see when it will "sink"

Two wrongs don't make a right!! Last I checked nobody today would argue that the native americans weren't in their right to defend themselves from the colonizers. Europeans are doing the same nowadays, or at least are trying to do the same. The only difference is that the demographic changes now aren't taking place by "force", instead it is by mass migration and reproduction. The native Americans, Africans, Australian aborigines, etc, did not seat on their behinds waiting to be colonized, they fought against it, as much as they could, they were outnumbered, and out skilled, but like I said, it is sad, but it is history, and like I said at the beginning to wrongs don't make a right!

Also the Spaniards, British, French, etc of today aren’t the same ones who colonize the world, those mostly left descendants in the rest of the world. So according to this sort of “eye for an eye” logic, shall we kill all Romans because of what they did in Cantabria, Galicia, and other parts of Iberia. How about the Mongols or the Turks to the Armenians? Heck let’s just skin those Hutus alive, after what they did to the Tutsis, or Hitler descendants, nephews, family members, or any SS Officer family member, why don’t we put them through the holocaust style tortures.

Yeah I agree, But this guy doesn't know anything about the history of Mexico. It was the Tlaxcaltecas (and many other native tribes) who allied with the spaniards, we are talking of thousands of indians, and were also very important in the Conquest of Mexico, in fact had an important role. Because Mexico was not the peaceful happy-flower image some people pretend, and then came the devil spaniards. No, the Aztec empire subjugated the surrounding trives, enslaved them, persecuted, made those horrendous sacrifices, almost daily, etc. That's why all these tribes allied with the Spanairds, from the very beggining.

Modern immigration policies have absolutely nothing to do with any of that, completely different phenomena and context, it's mixing apples with oranges.

What I did with my post is called mirroring, but some people do not like it when they see their egos in the mirror. We have a saying: "When you have eaten the nighbours chicken reserve yours for the same fate". It means, be prepared for the consequences of your deeds whenever, you never know when they might come arround. It is easy to say, oh but that is history now, Life's a ***** and now the bitching time has come to Spain I guess, though to me this fear is simply childish...

Looks to me that your government and people who elected it don't agree with your point of view. I would say they are more sharing and tolerant than you.

That's far from the truth, you are talking with ignorance on the subject,. In fact, most spaniards are against this massive immigration, this appears in the media all the time :

The best selling/spreading memes are the ones that are based on fears. So your media has created this fear meme because they want to sell. All the media need these kind of stories in order to get our attention and of course earn on our fears. This has nothing to do with good and objective journalism.
