I'm a subscriber to 'Not Just Bikes', a YouTube channel made by a Canadian living in the Netherlands. It deal mostly with city infrastructure and urbanism, with a particular emphasis on making cities more pedestrian and bicycle friendly, or just more livable in general. The videos are usually great.

This one is about Montreal, which is touted as one of the best cities to live in North America. I'll let you judge by yourself.

I don't know if it's the best to live but it might be the most beautiful in NA, along with Quebec City.

Considering what I saw when I did my Canadian tour with my son, I would adopt this classification: 1)Québec, 2)Ottawa/Gatineau, 3) Mont-Tremblant, 4) Niagara-on-the-Lake, 5)Toronto, 6)Montreal. My son lived and studied for a year in Langley, near Vancouver, when he went on exchange. He really liked Vancouver, but I don’t know there, so I don't have a personal assessment.
