What is Fermi's Y haplogroup? He does look like an Italian E1b1b / E-V13 in many of his photos.

And he looks extremely similar to Lyndon b Johnson in this photo, who is also an E-V13.

First time hearing about him, but he looks to have been quite an accomplished scientist, one of the key members of Manhattan project.

I thought you have some kind of evidence like family member tested, the vague comparison with Lyndon B Johnson is frankly speaking like astrology. Both of them come from regions/ethnicities were E-V13 is in small numbers except if Fermi comes from Sicily/South-Italy.

Anyways, except for both having receding hairline i don't see any resemblance. The difference would be striking if you compare both of their pics in their young age maybe.

Are we really inferring Y-DNA haplogroups based on people's look here? Am I supposed to look Scandinavian then?

By the way Enrico Fermi is in fact very famous in Italy, high schools named after him in every town. He was born in Rome but his father was from Emilia and his mother from Apulia...
