He had Megalithic British Y-DNA, paternally he was very native to Britain:

I2-M284 occurs almost exclusively in Britain and Ireland, but has also been found in Portugal, France, Germany and Norway. Present-day carriers share a common ancestor who lived approximately 5,500 to 6,000 years ago."
