Irhoud I was one of the specimens included in the analysis (see Table 1). I suspect Chinese homo erectus was not included because it is earlier than the time period they analysed, and because Chinese homo erectus is not ancestral to homo sapiens in Africa. The focus is on the origin of modern homo sapiens. Interesting paper.
