I don't know what is up with you people on these platforms that expect us to just accept your pseudo intellectual theories that have no compelling evidence and which you speak with such great confidence.
I saw now another R1a-Z93 Thracian found from Andreevo . So this seems to me some kind of Thracian marker, not as huge as EV-13 but definitely there. I have not seen a single R-Z93 Illyrian sample so far. Nor Ancient Greek so this Y-DNA seems rare and special to me for European populations.
Dardanians were mentioned as Illyrian by many ancient sources, what would be so disturbing to argue they were Illyrian any more than they were not ? If people want to believe they were Thracian be my guest. Everybody is entitled to their opinion. I have seen even people claim Albanoi as...
For example Strabo mentioned Epirotans as non-Greek and related to Illyrians while some others mention them as Greek. But like Hawk said, they could of been kinda their own group neither Illyrian nor Greek but later Hellenized like Macedonians and many Thracians were also Hellenized. Some...
No I personally do not think they were Illyrians neither were Macedonians. In fact, I used to believe Macedonians might of been Thracians but I don't know.
I see now one of these Thracian sample belongs to Y-DNA R-Z93 which is the second Thracian I see with this Y-DNA and interesting
Origin of Epirotes is disputed. Some mention them as Greek while others claim they were related to Illyrians. Epirotes never historically inhabited most of Albania. They were a tribe mainly that lived in Northern Greece / Southern Albania and they were clearly influenced by Greek / Hellenized...
So we have EV-13 sample found among Illyrians and in North Macedonia ? Confirms it was obviously not all of it spread in the Western Balkans or Greece by classical Thracians but possibly also gained a high frequency in the Western Balkans from a founder / bottle neck effect ?
Some of these names including the ones Johane Derite listed can actually be explained in Albanian but of course it would only be speculation such as the name 'Bindus' 'Binhdo' from Albanian ''Bindur' 'Bind' which means 'Convince / Convinced' .
Only samples I have seen so far that cluster like North Italy in Croatia are all from the Bronze Age / Iron Age and even among these there are some Iberian, Albanian and Greek like samples and even Slavic like samples. Later samples I have seen from Croatia are all entirely Greek and Albanian like.
Sorry I was talking about the Roman period in general, for example even if some EV-13 Thracian/Dacian was absorbed into an Illyrian or Greek ethnos that doesn't make it Thracian anymore so why call it Thracian. It's obvious also that EV-13 became widespread in the Balkans, most likely through a...
Yeah exactly, they are most likely product of Romanized native Balkan people so EV-13 is still EV-13. (Regardless if these were Illyrianized Thracians )
It's actually interesting because Cinamak and even the ALB_MBA on that map is right around Albanian , the ALB MBA is the same sample she used in the OP in the link which gets Albanian at distance 5 and claims based on that huge genetic changes  This is what one of the Albanian female...
Some Illyrian names might not have any known Albanian etymology but I personally do not see how -para -dava etc have Albanian etymology ... Bessapara means nothing in Albanian which was a Thracian placename called 'Fort of the Bessi' or something like 'Petersborough' .
Also Bulgaria Iron Age...
She even literally god banned from Anthrogenica . This person I can hands down say is probably the most mentally challenged person I have ever seen. I have never in my life ever learned anything from this idiot be it about history or genetics. I have never seen this person actually post factual...
Claims huge genetic change, claims all these samples cluster like South-Western Euros, while many do, many also actually don't.
