Question Any news about R1b-Z2103 and its subclades?

I'm trying to find any new foundings but no success so far. Anything recent?

    Haplogroup G-Z18064.2

    No one knows more?

    Huns, Avars and Hungars

They were 50% Mansi-like, 35% Sarmatian-like and 15% Hun-like And they were quite mixed. It's just at a point I realised they must have had Slavic admixture even without reaching the Slavs in the Carpathians, yet found nothing about this

Question I have the R-L2 haplogroup in South Italy

"Romans" (as citizens of the Empire and not the og ethnicity) definitely had R-L2 among their y-haplos.

    Huns, Avars and Hungars

Always wondered how much Slavic did the Conquerors had, like it was clear they had it, since "Magna Hungaria" and the Carpathians had Slavs everywhere inbetween.

    That is a possiblity.

Genetic study Archaeogenetic analysis revealed East Eurasian paternal origin to the Aba royal family of Hungary

So fascinating how modern science decipher the y-haplogroups of prominent historical figures. As a Hungarian, the House of Árpád, House of Báthory and the House of Aba especially intrigues me

Were I2a Slavs part of the same tribe?

Who are you referring to? Who were I2a? Since the Magyars' rulers were from the House of Árpád, which is R1a-Z93 (> R-Z2123 > R1a-SUR51 > R1a-ARP: R1a1a1b2a2a1c3a3b).

    Y-DNA Bassarab Medieval Vlachs

Seems like a bit of leap of logic there. And will leave it at that, unless a scientific paper claims otherwise and agrees with your assumption. Thanks for the read tho, it was interesting to consider!

    Y-DNA Bassarab Medieval Vlachs

It's hard to read about the subject, but... What I found is, that it is most likely formed in West Asia. It's around 8k years old. While Thracians are roughly 5k years old. With Proto in mind, that is still faraway, especially since Greeks are between the two and they mixed a lot. So sofar it...

    Y-DNA Bassarab Medieval Vlachs

But it existed in other groups too and originates outside of said group, therefore, it cannot be called "the 'this group' haplogroup". For a haplogroup to be strongly tied to a single ethnic group, it must have formed with it, instead of just have been dominant within it. It's like calling R1a...

    Y-DNA Bassarab Medieval Vlachs

E came from Africa. E-V13 -from what I found- was most likely formed in West Asia. So it most likely isn't a (proto-)Thracian haplogroup. But it was common among them and important to their ethnogenesis.

    Y-DNA Bassarab Medieval Vlachs

E-V13 itself is in South Italy, Greece and even Turkmenistan. It's not a Thracian haplogroup, but a Balkan one (Thracians, and other paleobalkans included), that got spread a lot by Greeks (that's how it ended up in South Italy, and Turkmenistan). Turkmenistan probably got E-V13 during Alexander...

Hi all! Would like to know that what kind of ancestry my father's U3b2 mt-dna can mean as a Hungarian. What are its possible sources?

    Haplogroup G-Z18064.2

I found that in 23&me myself as well, plus that it's part of G-Z36520 on Yfull, but these didn't help me to decipher which clade it belongs to. Especially for the maps listed under G2 here.

    Haplogroup G-Z18064.2

Want to know more about this haplogroup (it belongs to one of my close friends). He got it from 23&me and it's 1 in 1300 so I'm not surprised that I have a hard time googling about it. Can anyone enlighten me? Where it's common, what's its y-tree on yfull? Thank you all for the answers in advance!
