Also speaking of samples, why don’t we have any samples from the Romans who died in Teutoburg forest.
Supposedly 16,000 - 20,000 were killed but there are no DNA samples? Have the remains not been found or have they but not been tested?

Guys I just saw this on the j-l283 Facebook group so I’ll repost:
There are 5 new ancient J2b-L283 samples from the August 2022 study "The Anglo-Saxon migration and formation of the Early English Gene pool": https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/browser/vi...899?show=reads (ENA-FIRST-PUBLIC:2022-08-08)...
Okay I'm writing this down so we all agree on the culture route from present to past: Albanian>Illyrian>Glasinac>Cetina>?
Anyone wanna speculate further?
I have a theory but and I was wondering if you guys think its relevant that the western Balkan samples of Cetina and Maros cultures appear to correlate as both being periphery bell beaker and likely both received migrations from Austria/West Hungary bell beakers.
Are you saying that there are new Cetina culture samples in this paper that are 2700-3000BCE or are you saying the southern arc paper ones are this old? Because the current estimates of the Cetina culture samples just released are estimated 1800BCE mean
Your right, the theory is based on a lack of data/evidence and is essentially supported only by what I previously said and the fact that its roughly an equidistant location from the Mokrin sample and the Russian Caucasus sample. But I think it has more validity then the Anatolia theory because...
2 samples is not really enough to make that assumption. But that North to south migration could support Polska's Ukraine J-L283 origin theory. With one migration going from Ukraine to the Caucasus and another migration going from Ukraine to the Western Balkans. Thereby explaining the lack of...
The fact that I'm saying J-L283 didn't originate in Illyria and migrated from another location would be rejected by archaeologists and anthropologists? perhaps there's some sort of language barrier here because I'm pretty sure everyone in this thread agrees that J-L283 likely didn't originate in...
Not sure what you mean by this can you rephrase what your saying please.
My point is that these Illyrians weren't always in Illyria and I thought we should move on to figuring out which J-L283 group migration they derived from, and then continue the process until we decipher the J-L283 origin...
Since we've established that J-L283 is proto-Illyrian. We should now move on to deciphering which cultures/tribes they came from before they arrived to the Adriatic such as the Maros culture and the migration route from the steppe
